Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-09

These terms govern your use of Pangaji. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

1. What Pangaji is

Pangaji is a software-as-a-service tool that helps small Kenyan landlords collect rent via M-Pesa STK Push, automatically reconcile incoming payments to the right tenant and unit, and send reminders. We orchestrate the payment flow; we never hold or transfer rent money on your behalf — funds flow directly tenant → your Paybill.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Pangaji to:

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these.

4. Pricing

During early access, Pangaji is free. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before we start charging. You can cancel before then with no charge.

5. Payment processing

Tenant payments are processed by Safaricom through your own M-Pesa Paybill or Till. Pangaji is not a payment processor and does not hold a money remittance license. We don't take a cut of your rent.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the Daraja credentials you provide. If payments fail because of misconfiguration on your side, we'll help you debug but we can't guarantee recovery.

6. Your data

Your tenants, properties, units and payment history are yours. We store them so the service can function. See the Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and share.

You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but we don't promise zero downtime. Things can break. Safaricom can have outages. If a payment fails for reasons outside our control (Safaricom errors, mobile network issues, etc.), Pangaji is not liable.

8. No warranties; limitation of liability

Pangaji is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Pangaji is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or zero, during the free early-access period).

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or where required by law, with notice where reasonable.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, unless otherwise agreed.

11. Changes

If we materially change these terms, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
